Spring Lake
Spring Lake is perhaps the most quaint and picture-perfect family town nestled along the New Jersey shoreline. Dubbed “The Irish Riviera” since it was incorporated in the late 1800s, the town boasts handsome Victorian mansions and nostalgic architecture from that era, when craftsmen from the Old Country settled in the town. But don’t let the 1800’s nostalgia fool you…this is an impressive place to aspire to live. Homes start in the millions for even the more humble west side of town.
Spring Lake is decidedly quiet and sleepy throughout the winter months, and perks up in the summer season, although without the commercial traffic that nearby Belmar or Asbury Park attract. This is a distinctly residential town, where neighbors are respectful and private. Your neighbors may be professionals commuting to NYC, or 5th generation Americans whose family has passed on their estate through the generations. Famous resident and bestselling author Mary Higgins Clark resides along the banks of the lake and is prominently featured in the spectacularly Gothic town library.
